Look
out for the North Northumberland Local Food Awards logo in hotels, B&Bs,
self-catering, restaurants, cafes, pubs, deli’s and farm-shops
around our area. The logo means that you can be sure to find some of
our fine food and drink on offer there.
The North Northumberland Local Food Awards scheme is open to hospitality,
catering and retail businesses in the District of Alnwick and the Borough
of Berwick-upon-Tweed that sell and promote locally-sourced produce.
“Local” means food or drink produced, caught, raised or
processed within a radius of approximately 50 miles of the participating
business.
The Awards are not intended to identify the best chefs or fanciest décor,
but aim to reward businesses of all kinds, large and small, that use
and promote food and drink produced locally.
